T-Mobile postpones CDMA shutdown date for another three months

Some T-Mobile & Sprint customers unable to call 911

T-Mobile and Sprint customers in select parts of the country were unable to call 911 for a short duration of time. The issue was made known by the city of Rockford and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.  According to the report, city officials alerted T-Mobile and Sprint customers about the issue via a tweet. T-Mobile has started to automatically migrate Sprint accounts into its billing system. T-Mobile stores report dashboard issues

There may be some issues going on with T-Mobile’s internal system.  This was earlier reported by The T-Mo Report, who shared an internal document along with first-hand information from employees that some retail locations are having an internal system issue. Last year, T-Mobile customers experienced a massive outage that led to over 20,000 failed 911 emergency calls. Group of teenage hackers arrested after hacking into T-Mobile’s systems

Over the weekend, T-Mobile was on the headlines after reports of a security breach orchestrated by a group of teenagers. T-Mobile has since confirmed the attack and said that the “systems accessed contained no customer or government information or other similarly sensitive information.” The incident was first reported by Krebs on Security, who revealed that the Lapsus$ hacking group managed to steal T-Mo’s source code in March. Dish Network, T-Mobile sign 2020 MNSA amendment

Dish Network and T-Mobile have both signed an amendment to their 2020 Master Network Services Agreement (MNSA). The announcement was revealed today on T-Mo’s newsroom. Sprint’s network is officially retired

It’s official! Sprint’s network is officially retired. T-Mobile has shut down the remaining LTE network of Sprint along with its own 3G network.  A spokesperson for the Un-carrier confirmed to The Verge that the shutdowns are now taking place.
